Lok Sabha okays bill to stop more Mallyas & Niravs from looting and scooting

The Lok Sabha on Thursday passed the Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill aimed at preventing offenders from siphoning off public funds and fleeing the country. The government has claimed that it will also help banks and other financial institutions to achieve higher recovery from financial defaults.
